Now, let’s get started!

Step-by-Step Guide to Crafting Your Glitter Snow Globe Tumbler

Step 1: Prep Your Bottle

Time to get started! Grab your tumbler and put tape around the top of your glass. This step will keep the area cleanish and minimise glitter on your table. We also include a plastic tablecloth to put down so you can easily just wrap up all the mess and bin it. We also offer the glitter vacuum if you are staying in a rental and are worried about mess.

Step 2: Fill Your Tumbler

Now for the exciting part! Fill your squeezie bottle with the liquid provided. Fill about a quarter of the glass with liquid and then swish it around the wet the sides. This also prevents air and glitter from getting trapped in the rim of the glass. Open your glitter tube and empty about half of it in and then add another squeeze of liquid. Put you finger on the hole and then swirl it around to wet all the glitter. Put the remaining glitter in the glass and then top up the liquid to about 90% and swirl again. You want to get all the glitter moving around in the cup and make sure its not getting stuck. Hold your cup on an angle and slowly squeeze in as much liquid as you can.

Put your finger over the hole and see if you can find any air bubbles trapped inside. To better understand this, please make sure you watch our Youtube tutorial for this kit. You will most likely find a bubble so you want to flip it back around so the hole is on the top and tap it on the table to try and move the bubble as close to the hole as possible. Use your syringe to suck out the air, you may also get a little bit of liquid during this time and thats ok, discard. Tap, tap, tap to release the air bubble, fill with more liquid. You may have to do this a few times as per the tutorial. Remember to squeeze your liquid in slowly and keep you glass tilted on the side to create more space.

Step 3: Seal Your Tumbler

Once your glass is full and any big air bubbles are removed, place the rubber stopped in the hole. Be careful not to push it in too hard as they are hard to get out if this happens. If you have a lot of excess liquid use a towel or a tissue to remove it. Then, take an alcohol wipe and wipe around the stopper and the bottom of the jar making sure it feels dry and clean. Use the other wipe for the outside of the bottle. Put a dot of resin over the plus, enough to cover it and hold your UV light/torch over the plus for about a minute. If it still feels sticky, hold it over for another minute. Yay, you are nearly there!

Step 4: Add Your Wrap and Text

Time to add the final touches! You will need the cup holder, squeegee, wrap and text. Take the wrap and decide where you would like it to sit on your tumbler. Then peel the packing off about 1cm, get some scissors and cut the backing. This will allow a sticky bit to help you align your wrap and make sure it goes on straight. Use the squeegee all the way around the wrap to make sure its stuck down really well. You then need to pull the transparent backing tape off so you are not bascially just peeling this back off the other way. If parts of your design get stuck just use the squeegee or your finger to make sure they are smoothed down.

Do the same thing for the text. I like to stick it down in the middle then push down the the left then right. Slowly remove the transfer tape and reserve for someone else. Transfer tape can be used up to 10 times.

Show Off Your Sparkle!

And that’s it—you’ve just made your very own Glitter Snow Globe Tumbler! Fill it with your favourite drink think ice lattes, tea or a smoothie and enjoy.

PS. We have heard online that if left out in the sun there have been cases of them exploding. We have not had this experience but just wanted to share so please refrain from leaving them outside and stay safe!
