Craft Social's Term 3 Workshops: Fun, Creative, and Hands-On

As Term 3 rolls around, we’ve packed our calendar with an exciting lineup of craft workshops guaranteed to spark creativity and keep little hands busy during the school holidays in Byron Bay! Whether you are a local or visiting Byron Bay on school holidays, here’s a sneak peek at each of the workshops we’re offering this term, perfect for kids eager to dive into the world of crafting. Whether you’re looking for something glitzy or tactile, we’ve got a little something for everyone!

1. Glitter Water Bottles

Let’s kick off the fun with our Glitter Water Bottle Workshop, where kids can design their own sparkling acrylic 500ml snow globe-style water bottles. Each bottle is totally customisable, allowing kids to express their personality with a unique design. Choose your bottle colour, your glitter, a wrap and even customise with your name or saying, it’s a fantastic hands-on project that doubles as a stylish and practical accessory they can use every day.

2. Eco Stone Trays

Our Eco Stone Tray Workshop uses Jesmonite, a versatile, water-based material that's eco-friendlier than traditional resin. Unlike resin, which relies on harmful chemicals, Jesmonite is non-toxic and contains no solvents. It's known for being durable and lightweight, making it perfect for creating stylish, functional trays while promoting sustainability and reducing environmental impact. These trays are perfect for holding jewellery, keys, or small trinkets, making it both a fun and functional project. We emphasise sustainability, teaching kids about eco-friendly crafting while creating something chic and useful. Kids will go home with a terrazzo style tray and a tye-dye rainbow tray, they get to choose their molds and colours making a unique and useful item for themselves or to gift.

3. Beading + Personalised Sunglasses

Get ready for some colorful fun with our Beading Workshop! Kids will create their own personalised bracelets, necklaces, bag chains or croc chains using a range of trendy beads. From vibrant colours to alphabet beads for personal messages, this class allows them to express their style and creativity. Beading is a great way to help kids with fine motor skills while they craft keepsakes they can wear or gift to friends. During the 3 hours they can make till their hearts content. They will then decorate their personalised sunglasses with a huge range of super cute gems and embellishments, a very popular activity to end the class.

4. Slime

Calling all slime lovers! We're thrilled to be offering our Slime Workshop this term, and it's packed with ooey-gooey fun. Kids will get to make a variety of slimes, including classic, fluffy, butter and clear slime. We’ll finish off with a scented, decorated slime that’s totally unique. Each child will take home all their creations—usually around 4-5 jars of custom-made slime to show off. Ready to get messy? We handle the cleanup!

5. Cream Glue Art

For those who love intricate design, our Cream Glue Art (Decoden) Workshop introduces kids to the trending craft of decorating with cream-like glue. Decoden cream glue, inspired by cake piping, is a water-based, non-toxic product made from deionized water, emulsifiers, and water-based resin. It's perfect for DIY projects, with its texture allowing kids to "pipe" colorful designs. In this workshop, they’ll adorn photo frames, compact mirrors, and hair clips with beads, gems, and charms, creating stunning, one-of-a-kind keepsakes. Decoden is sweeping the internet and becoming increasingly popular in cities, making this workshop a hit!

6. Bath Bombs

Our Bath Bomb Workshop is a sensory-filled experience where kids get to create their own fizzy, colorful bath bombs and bath salts! Using safe, non-toxic ingredients, kids will mix, mold, and customise their bath bombs with scents, colors, and fun add-ins like glitter or Epsom salt confetti. This hands-on workshop is perfect for budding DIYers, giving them a fun project to take home and enjoy during bath time. The rainbow bath salts add a burst of color and bubbles to bath time, perfect for a fun, fizzy bath or creating magical potions!
